The Lahore High Court (LHC) has given green signal to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold  Raiwind march scheduled on September 30.

LHC in its verdict on Thursday allowed PTI to hold its public meeting, directing Punjab provincial government to keep an eye on law and order situation.

The court also directed Punjab government to maintain security to avert any untoward incident and keep an eye on law and order situation.

It further said that the government should not arrest and harass political workers if they are peaceful. The court observed that it’s state’s responsibility to protect rights of the people.

The court also urged PTI to honour its commitment with the local administration regarding holding of a peaceful rally.

PTI to hold rally at Adda Plot near Raiwind, just five kilometers from Sharif Family residence.
