The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) yesterday urged the government to withdraw SRO 412(1)2014 issued by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan on health care products.
In a meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Cosmetics Manufacturers Association, the LCCI Vice-President Syed Mahmood Ghaznavi said that the SRO 412(1)2014 would deprive poor people of affordable treatments like Unani and homeopathic.
He further said that regulations should be made with a purpose of developing the sector, adding that the policies made without due consultation of the stakeholders were bound to fail (inevitably).
