At least ten people (including seven bodies found shot to death) were killed in spondaic incidents of firing in Karachi today.
Police said seven dead bodies were recovered in Ghazi Goth near Manghopir locality.
“The bodies bear signs of torture and bullet wounds to their heads. Their hands and feet are tied with ropes. It seems these people were kidnapped and then shot to death,” said SP Sajid.
He said the bodies, which were found lying in a pool of blood in the bushes, might have been dumped this morning.
The victims were clad in shalwar-kameez, aging between 25 and 40 years. Rescue teams shifted the bodies to Abbasi Shaheed hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police said three of them were identified as Shoaib, Khan Saeed and Yousuf, hailing from Swat. Police claimed the men were in contact with banned Tehrik-e-Taliban.

Meanwhile, a police officer was killed in a drive-by attack in Korangi’s Bilal Colony. He was identified as Sub Inspector Saleem.
According to eyewitnesses, unknown bike riders opened fire on Saleem soon after he left his home. Body of the police officer was shifted to Jinnah hospital.
Two more people were killed in firing incidents reported in Gulbahar and Liaqatabad areas.
