A report was received from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) hinting at possible thunderstorms and rain in Karachi on April 13 and 14. The PMD’s Early Warning Centre forecasts that western disturbances will approach from the west, starting April 10, with another set on April 12, lasting until April 15.
Specifically, Karachi is expected to see thunderstorms and lightning on April 13 and 14, accompanied by gusty winds and dust storms. Additional forecasts include heavy winds and rain across various Sindh locales, such as Sukkur and Jacobabad, extending to Sanghar.
While Sindh braces for warm weather, with temperatures potentially hitting 42 degrees Celsius in some regions, Karachi anticipates 36 to 38 degrees Celsius over three days. Despite a weakened sea breeze at midday, a resurgence in the evening mitigates heatwave conditions due to low humidity. Karachi’s temperature peaked at 38 degrees Celsius on Monday, with Shaheed Benazirabad recording the highest at 43.5 degrees Celsius in interior Sindh.
