Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza will take the oath as new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan today.
Yesterday, he was appointed for the office to serve for a five-year term when a 12-member Parliamentary Committee unanimously nominated him out of three judges.
Justice Raza, who has also served as Chief Justice of Shariat Court, is tasked with holding free and fair general elections throughout the country.
