Religious cleric Maulana Masood associated with Jamia Binoria Aalimiyah has been gunned down in apparent sectarian violence in North Nazimabad area of the metropolis on Wednesday.
Maulana Masood, a son-in-law of prominent religious scholar Mufti Naeem, was chief administrator in girls’ education department of Jamia Binoria Aalimiyah and he was also discharging his duties as lecturer in University of Karachi.
Dead body of Maulana Masood has been shifted to Ziauddin Hospital.
It is a second such incident in less than a week as Ali Akbar Kumaili, the son of religious figure Allama Abbas Kumaili, was shot dead on Saturday.
