Apple rolled out the iPad Air 2025, packing the M3 chip and cutting-edge AI features. The 11-inch model costs $599, while the 13-inch version is $799. Pre-orders open today, with deliveries and in-store availability hitting March 12.

The iPad Air 2025 promises a leap in performance. Apple claims the M3 chip makes it “nearly 2x faster than the M1 iPad Air and up to 3.5x faster than the A14 Bionic version.” It introduces advanced graphics—dynamic caching, mesh shading, and ray tracing—elevating visuals to new heights. Lighter and thinner than the classic iPad, these tablets come in two sizes: 11 and 13 inches.

Apple Intelligence Takes Center Stage

Built for Apple Intelligence, the iPad Air 2025 boasts AI tricks like “Clean Up” to zap distractions from photos and “Image Wand” to turn sketches into stunning visuals. Users also get ChatGPT integration in Writing Tools and Siri, boosting productivity. “From students to creators, this iPad Air with M3 and the new Magic Keyboard ups versatility and value,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s VP of Worldwide Product Marketing.

Apple’s iPad sales soared to $8.09 billion in Q1 fiscal 2025, topping estimates of $7.32 billion and jumping 15% year-over-year. New buyers drove over half those sales, signaling strong demand. The timing? Spot-on—CEO Tim Cook teased a big reveal “this week” on social media just yesterday.
