Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday dismissed a plea seeking registration of first information report (FIR) against Maulana Abdul Aziz and some females students of Jamia Hafsa.
A single member bench of IHC comprising Justice Mohsan Hasan Kiani resumed hearing of the case regarding the objectionable statements about self proclaimed Islamic States (IS).
The petitioner stated that the statements by the former Lal Masjid cleric were unconstitutional and against the integrity of the country.
He added that the country was already facing war against terrorism and it was dangerous to give statements in favor of such organization.
He said the video messages of the statements were available. The petitioner prayed the court to issue directives for registration of FIR against Aziz and females students of Jamia Hafsa.
After hearing the arguments, the court dismissed the plea against Maulana Abdul Aziz and students of Jamia Hafsa. (APP)
