All foreigners currently residing in the Federal Capital have shared particulars about their residences with the police, an Interior Ministry spokesman stated earlier yesterday.
The spokesman, in a statement here, said that the foreigners remained reluctant for years to submit particulars about their residences with the police but they had now submitted the same, following the directives of Minister for Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan.
It may be mentioned that the Interior Minister while chairing the meeting on Tuesday, had given a 24-hour deadline day to the foreigners for submitting details of their 303 residences.
The minister had also ordered to block entrances and exits of such houses in case their inhabitants did not share particulars till 1800 hours on Wednesday.
The foreigners, most of diplomats, had provided required details to Islamabad police before end of the deadline, the spokesman said.
The Interior Ministry for last one and a half years has been making efforts to ensure that no unregistered person resides in any house of the Federal Capital. (APP)
