Residents throughout the Islamabad and Rawalpindi should brace themselves for excessively prolonged rainfall throughout the day (Friday) and lasting through Friday night.
The Department of Meteorology has issued flood warnings in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi after water level reached dangerous level in “Nala Lai” on Friday.
The monsoon rains have wreaked havoc in different cities of Punjab while the capital and Rawalpindi is also witnessing heavy rainfall. Warning sirens were sounded in Nala Lai so that the nearby residents are evacuated.
The city administration said that the water level has reached to 17 feet near Katarian and Gawal Mandi adding that army has also been asked to remain alert in the wake of floodthreat.
On the other hand, heavy rains have crippled daily life in different cities of the Punjab.
Almost 37 people have been killed in the province including three of family in Sialkot.
