Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announced the dismissal of 1,800 employees recruited through the government’s party quota system. “I am ready to face their protests, but I refuse to pay salaries to these unlawfully appointed individuals,” Gandapur stated.
Gandapur also introduced new measures to empower citizens, saying, “Today, we are enabling the public to raise their issues on the portal. We will transparently reveal to the media who has been disciplined and the actions taken regarding these complaints.”
Removal of Check Posts and Restoration of Jirga System in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
In a major policy shift, Gandapur announced the removal of check posts and reinstating the traditional jirga system within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He stated, “We are eliminating check posts across the province and restoring the jirga system to strengthen local governance.”
In response to a recent incident, Gandapur addressed the Afghan Consul General’s explanation regarding their conduct during the national anthem, saying, “The Afghan Consul General has clarified that their stance during our national anthem was due to the inclusion of music; they have similarly muted their anthem. This explanation is satisfactory.”

Concluding his remarks, Gandapur reiterated his dedication to the populace over succumbing to political pressures. “My decisions are clear: I do not yield to political pressure. My priority is the welfare of my people, not the appeasement of a single individual,” he affirmed.
