The commander in chief and first lady saw the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun at the Ethel Barrymore Theater on Friday evening. Denzel Washington also stars in the play
The first couple and Secret Service made their way backstage during intermission to meet and take photographs with the cast.
During the curtain call and eventual standing ovation, Washington acknowledged the Obamas as he pointed and tipped his hat to the first couple.
