KHYBER AGENCY: Security forces on Sunday gunned down at least five militants in an encounter in Khyber Agency here.
The clash between the security forces and militants took place in Bara, tehsil of Khyber Agency, when the terrorists attacked the law enforcers.
However in retaliation fire, five of the militants were killed. A security personnel also embraced martyrdom in fight with the militants.
Political sources of the area have confirmed the incident. The clashes between terrorists and armed forces often take place in the volatile tehsils and districts of Khyber Agency and adjoining areas.
Army has recently launched a fresh offensive against militants in Khyber Agency named ‘Khyber-I’ and dozens of terrorists have so far been killed in the operation.
