At least five students of Bahauddin Zakaria University (BZU) DG Khan Campus climbed on a high water tank to protest against the red tape for the issuance of their result cards for too long here on Friday night.
One of the student talking to local news channel said that “The students are belonging to far off areas and their mark sheets of MSc Computer Sciences group scholars are pending quite a long time and to register their protest, the students climbed on the top of a water tank located behind the girls hostel.
“The students remained at the tank for about an hour to record their protest,”
After broadcasting news on local news channels, Director Distance Learning Dr Ishaque Fani personally went to protesting students for negotiation and ensured that they would be provided cards within a day.
Dr. Fani while talking to media termed students demands as unjustified and said “How could we have issued the cards when the result was yet to be prepared,”
Dr fani also assured that the students would get heir result cards by Saturday evening.
