4000 people have been transferred to safe heavens whereas 35 ton food items have been distributed among the affected amongst continuing army rescue operations.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR), 7 helicopters and 100 boats are engaged in Chiniot, Ahmadpur Sial, Pir kot and Athara Hazari. Four thousand army men have been deployed at Punjnad Headworks.
Aid is also being distributed at the relief camps set up in Bahawalpur.
