The 138th birth day of philosopher, poet and the conceiver of idea of Pakistan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal is being observed today.
In their respective messages on the occasion, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have called for a renewed pledge to follow the philosophy and message of self-awareness and self-esteem of the great poet.
The President said a deliberate effort is needed to revert to the message of Iqbal to find solutions to all the ills that corrode our society and hinder our march towards progress and prosperity.
He said the Muslims of the sub-continent would always remain indebted to this great visionary leader for his invaluable services to infuse a new spirit in them.
In his message, the Prime Minister said we can achieve a clear distinction in political, economic, social and religious affairs by following the thought and philosophy of the great poet.
