AIG Operations Islamabad Police Aashir Hameed was found dead on Friday in his room.
Blood had exuded out of his mouth, while no weapon was found in the room. He was a resident of Police Lines Area.
According to initial reports, reason behind his death could not be ascertained. His body was shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities and post-mortem. After post-mortem report, the investigation would be further extended.
Aashir Hameed was transferred to Balochistan one month ago, but he was still residing in his official residence in Islamabad.
