PLYMOUTH, Massachusetts, United States: Lindsay Clancy juror filming allegations led police to arrest a 56-year-old woman outside the courthouse on September 1, Court TV reported.

Massachusetts State Police said officers took Dawn Light into custody. Authorities charged her with aggravated intimidation of a witness, juror or person providing information in a criminal proceeding.

Prosecutors said Light sat in a restricted courthouse parking area and used her phone to record people leaving the building.

When officers approached, she allegedly said she was waiting to see whether the defendant, Lindsay Clancy, would come outside.

Dawn Light is accused of filming Lindsay Clancy trial jurors as they left the courthouse on Monday.

Police initially found no relevant footage in Light’s main phone files, according to prosecutors. Investigators later located video in the deleted-files folder that showed people confirmed as jurors in Clancy’s trial.

Light pleaded not guilty at her September 2 arraignment. Prosecutors sought USD 50,000 cash bail, but the judge released her without cash bail and ordered her to stay away from the courthouse, trial witnesses and jurors.

Judge William Sullivan questioned each juror individually before deliberations resumed and warned courtroom spectators and online viewers not to approach the panel.

Clancy, 36, is charged with three counts of murder in the January 24, 2023 deaths of her children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months.

She has pleaded not guilty, with her defence arguing she was not legally responsible because of postpartum psychosis. Court TV reported that Light could face up to 21½ years in state prison if convicted.
