Govt of Pakistan has brought back 258 more Pakistanis from Libya via special chartered flight and the total number of citizens airlifted comes to 1727.
According to the Foreign Office (FO) press release, since August 13, 2014 through six chartered flight thousands of Pakistani citizens has been brought back from Libya.
FO also confirmed that approximately 1800 destitute Pakistanis are still awaiting evacuation and relief camps set up by the Pakistan Embassy in Tripoli.
“All required support and sustenance is being provided to Pakistani nationals in Libya by our Embassy in Tripoli, which is fully functional despite the ongoing instability and violence in the country,” the release added.
