More then a dozen people were killed in renewed violence that gripped the teeming metropolis of Karachi late Wednesday.
Deaths of several people in different violence and firing incidents in a matter of some hours created panic among the citizens of the metropolis.
Unknown motorcyclists opened gunfire at a seminary near Continental Bakery located in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, critically injuring four students, of them, three died to their wounds during medical treatment.
The assault infuriated the local residents, who took to roads and went on rampage around the area. The incensed demonstrators set pushcarts and vendor stalls on fire to block the road.
Prior to the gory incident, some armed miscreants gunned down Dr. Hyder Raza in the same Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
Meantime, Natha Khan Goth witnessed a firing incident that left Pervez Bangash dead and caused injuries to another. Two others sustained critical wounds in a gunfire attack in Lines Area.
A person was shot to death in Pakhtoonabad area of Manghopir. Another man lost his life in a firing incident in Gulshan-e-Ghazi area of Baldia Town. Kharadar’s Bantwa Street witnessed the killing of a man in a firing incident. A man, Sajid, was assassinated in Orangi Town no.11.5. A person was killed in a gun assault in Soldier Bazaar.
Meantime, a body, about four days old, was recovered from Surjani Town area of Kaneez Fatima Society.
