Karachi: Intelligence agencies today (Friday) raid at residence of Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon  at Clifton Karachi and recovered 2 billion rupees.

According to sources, intelligence agencies conducted a raid at the residence of Memon on a tip-off money laundering and corruption allegations.

Source also added that raid continued for 45 minutes, during which officials also recorded the video statement of Memon’s PA and other servant presented at the house. However, Memon was not present at the house due to his party visit in Dubai.

On the other hand Memon categorically denied that any raid at his residence had taken place.

Speaking to local news channel “Geo News”, Memon said he would take action against the TV channel which aired the story without verifying it.

According to Memon yesterday (Thursday) a newspaper had printed a similar story and today (Friday) a retraction was printed.
