Operation Zarb-e-Azb, which is said to be Pakistan’s war for survival against the Taliban terrorists infesting the lawless tribal territories in North Waziristan Agency, is in full swing, Pakistani military says.
“No less than 11 terrorists were neutralized in Mir Ali clashes on Tuesday”, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa told the media at Lahore’s Fortress Stadium.
He added that this success came at the cost of five martyrdoms of our brave troops including a a captain.
“The brush also left two soldiers wounded”, said he.
Captain Aakash Rabbani and a soldier were among those who embraced martyrdom in the latest shootout near Mirali, Bajwa said.
DG ISPR added that terrorists based in Afghanistan were launching attacks on Pakistan Army from across the border.
“Pakistan has raised this issue with Afghan authorities in the strongest of words. If they do not pay heed to our legitimate demands then we will certainly do what needs to be done to plug these porous borders”, he said
