An airstrike carried out by security forces near the Pak-Afghan border in North Waziristan claimed lives of 17 militants including key militant commanders on Tuesday.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has stated that jet fighters pounded several militant hideouts near the border area in which 17 militants were slain.
It was further stated that Uzbek militant commander Asad Mansoor Mehsud and Commander Umar have also been killed in the airstrike, the ISPR said. Foreign terrorists are also amongst the casualties.
Three vehicles along with stockpiles of ammunition and explosives were also destroyed in the bombing.
