US President Donald Trump warned Iran on Sunday that Washington could take further action unless Tehran changes course. He also endorsed Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, for re-election.
Trump used a Truth Social post to combine his warning with support for Netanyahu before Israel’s October 27 election. Unless Iran changes its approach, the United States could “soon finish the job”, Trump said. He gave Netanyahu his full backing for another term.
Separately, Iran’s newly approved Defence Minister Mehrdad Akhlaghi Ketabchi warned that further American attacks could result in US military casualties. His remarks followed parliament’s approval of his appointment.
Diplomatic discussions have continued alongside the warnings. Iran is reviewing US feedback on its seven-day proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu has reiterated that eliminating what he describes as the Iranian threat remains a central objective. He has called for sustained economic and military pressure on Tehran.
