Rawalpindi: Former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani visited the headquarters of intelligence agency, ISI, to discuss the abduction of his son today.
Gilani met DG ISI Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar and briefed him about his telephonic conversation with Ali Haider Gilani. DG ISI assured Gilani of full cooperation from the intelligence agency.
He also told the DG ISI about discussion with Afghan officials.
Gilani said that his son Ali Haider Gilani is in Al-Qaeda’s possession .
He said that Ali Haider Gilani, after being kidnapped was sold to many groups which is why demand for his ransom was being raised.
Ali Haider Gilani, the son of former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, who was kidnapped from Multan in 2013, spoke to his father via telephone from Afghanistan on Sunday.
According to Media Reports, the telephone call was made from Afghanistan by the kidnappers who spoke to Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani before allowing his son to speak to his father.
It was Ali Haider Gilani’s first contact with his family in two years since he was kidnapped by gunmen during an election rally in Multan on May 9, 2013.
