A whistleblower has reportedly filed a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), accusing ABC News of providing Kamala Harris’ campaign with debate questions ahead of her confrontation with Donald Trump. Right-wing journalist Laura Loomer on X, previously known as Twitter, brought this allegation to light.
According to Loomer, the complaint, lodged on September 20, 2024, claims collusion between ABC News, its parent company Disney, and the Harris campaign to sway the 2024 presidential election. Loomer also posted screenshots showing the SEC’s acknowledgement of the complaint filings.
The whistleblower, who remains unnamed, alleges they possess proof of the interactions between ABC News and the Harris campaign, including discussions and documents that suggest Disney could financially benefit if Harris is victorious.
Moreover, the individual clarified his political stance, stating that he did not support Donald Trump and had never voted for him. They expressed concerns about media bias influencing the election in favour of Harris and requested anonymity to protect their family’s safety.
Following the first presidential debate, an affidavit allegedly from this ABC News whistleblower surfaced online, claiming a close partnership between the network and Harris’ campaign. Subsequently, billionaire Bill Ackman shared the affidavit, tagging Disney CEO Bob Iger and questioning its authenticity. ABC News has since refuted these allegations, asserting that Harris did not receive any prior debate questions, a claim supported by the network’s denial of the accusations.
