Santos FC beat Coritiba 2-0 in the Copa do Brasil in Curitiba, Brazil, before a Neymar fan spat drew attention near the end of the match.
The exchange happened as Santos replaced Neymar in the 84th minute at Estádio Couto Pereira.
A Coritiba supporter shouted that Neymar would not go to the FIFA World Cup 2026. Neymar smiled, waved and replied that the fan would “stay home.”
Neymar salió de cambio y un hincha de Coritiba le gritó “NO VAS A IR AL MUNDIAL”.
Él le tiró un beso, se rió y le respondió: “Y VOS TE VAS A QUEDAR EN TU CASA”.

The incident came as Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti prepares to cut his preliminary squad to 26 players for the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico. TalkSport reported that Neymar made Brazil’s preliminary 55-man list after recent Santos form revived his selection hopes.
Neymar has six goals and four assists in 14 Santos matches. He has not played for Brazil since October 17, 2023, when he sustained a knee injury against Uruguay in a South American qualifier.
Brazil will play in Group C with Morocco, Haiti and Scotland at the FIFA World Cup 2026, with group matches scheduled from June 13 to June 24.
