Karachi: Police personnel today declared assassination of assistant professor Waheed-ur-Rehman of Karachi University as blind murder.
Police failed to collect evidences in the murder case, despite receiving forensic report of weapons used to slain the professor. The investigation officer has revealed that the bullet shells don’t match any incident, whereas the data collected from the deceased’s laptop is also of no use.
On the other hand, police have released as many as four people arrested to probe into the matter. Earlier, an assistant professor of the University of Karachi was shot dead in Federal B. area on April 29.
Dr. Syed Waheed-ur-Rahman was killed when unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on his car. The suspects managed to flee the scene soon after the attack.
