Lahore: Authorities on Wednesday sent to gallows three more death row prisoners in Lahore and Faisalabad while another got last-minute reprieve.
A condemned prisoner Tariq alias Tara was hanged in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat prison. He was convicted for murder of a man in 1995.
Another death row inmate, Aftab Masih, was executed in the same jail. He was convicted for triple homicide in 1992.
The third condemned prisoner was hanged in Faisalabad jail. He was awarded death penalty for murder of five people.
Reports said another prisoner, who was scheduled to be hanged in Sahiwal jail today, was not sent to gallows after last-minute pardon by victim family. He was convicted for killing three people .
