A student committed suicide in the area of City Jaranwala police station in Faisalabad late yesterday night.

According to police, 16-year-old Zahid Iqbal, resident of chak 632-GB, was expelled from the school for not wearing school uniform.

The boy got so depressed from the ‘punishment’ that he swallowed poisonous pills.

He was rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital but he breathed his last.
