A Pakistan Army soldier was martyred and at least 12 others were injured in a road accident near Punjab’s Chiniot city.
According to officials, the incident took place this morning on Jhang road where a truck carrying military soldiers overturned after colliding with a vehicle coming from the opposite side.
Sources said 13 soldiers were wounded in the accident and were shifted to nearby hospital where one of them, identified as Lance Naik Muhammad Qamar, breathed his last.
The soldiers were heading to Jhang city to perform security duties during Muharram.
