Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday has decided to make another attempt to engage both PAT’s chief Tahir-ul-Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan in talks to hear his demands.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the premier at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad.
The meeting discussed the overall situation of the country and it was decided that Sarwar would contact both PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leadership in order to convince them to call off their marches.
It is important to mention that the Punjab governor is in direct contact with Dr Tahirul Qadri since he had returned to Pakistan. He was also in contact when the PAT chief led the revolution march from Model Town towards Islamabad.
Therefore, it is theorized that the PM may assign him a task to hold negotiations with the PTI and PAT heads.
