The advisor to the Prime Minister, Irfan Siddiqi said that the dialogues may start by the evening today.
Sources say that the committees to negotiate with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) have been formulated. Federal ministers Saad Rafique and Ahsan Iqbal have been nominated to negotiate with PTI whereas Abdul Qadir Baloch and Irfan Siddiqi are to negotiate with PAT.
The government has requested Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and other political parties to submit names from their parties for the negotiation committees, sources added.
Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan and Pervez Rashid would be assisting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the negotiation process.
Interior Minister said that government had allowed the PTI and PAT workers to lead their marches to Islamabad despite having an order from Lahore High Court. He said that if the government wanted to stop them, the LHC decision had provided the government with a reason but still government refrained from any administrative action.
Commenting on Chairman PTI Imran Khan s remarks about breaking into Red Zone, Chaudhry Nisar said there are some of the most sensitive institutions in the Red Zone including embassies of other countries, PM House, Election Commission Office and several other sensitive institutions”, said Nisar.
