Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Sharjeel Inam Memon has been arrested on Saturday night at Islamabad Airport.
According to details, the former Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Memon was taken into custody by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) when he was returning to Pakistan from Dubai.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed a corruption reference against Memon, other information department officials and advertising companies’ representatives for illegalities in the process of awarding contracts worth over Rs5 billion for official Sindh government awareness campaigns for the electronic media.
He was accompanied by Mukesh Chowla, Faiyyaz Bhat, Taimour Talpur and Imdad Patafi.
Memon was self-exiled over a year in Dubai.
