Pomi Butt, who allegedly threw stones on PTI’s ‘Azadi Marchers’ in Gujranwala has been granted bail along with seven associates by a local court today.
Pomi Butt surrendered to the police of his own accord.
Pomi Butt, who is a younger brother PML (N) MPA Imran Khalid Butt, has been alleged to have provoked PMLN workers into attacking ‘Azadi March’ participants.
However, Butt has been consistently denying any involvement in the attack.
On saturday, police produced Butt and seven other PML-N workers before Session Court judge who granted bail to the accused on security bonds of Rs 10,0000 each. They are likely to be released today.
