Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif earlier today held an important meeting to discuss the overall security situation and ongoing military operation against militants in tribal areas.
PM Sharif praised the sacrifices of the Pakistani Army in its fight against terrorism.
The prime minister emphasized the need for adopting a comprehensive strategy to eradicate terrorism and said that the nation is determined to eliminate this menace.
Both PM Sharif and Gen Raheel also discussed the role of National Counter Terrorism Authority and decided to make it efficient.
The meeting came after a deadly suicide blast in Lahore on Sunday in which over 60 people lost their lives.
