PM bids farewell to DG ISI

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif bid farewell to Director General (DG) Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Zaheerul Islam in a meeting in Islamabad earlier today.

The PM admired Zaheerul Islam’s professional capabilities saying that his services for the country as DG ISI are commendable. DG ISI Lieutenant General Zaheerul Islam is retiring on November 7.

Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar has been appointed as new DG ISI. Lt. Gen. Rizwan Aktar was DG rangers in Sindh before he took over his current assignment as DG ISI
