Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) submitted the details of their assets in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) whereas their plea for allotment of a new election symbol was rejected by the ECP today.
Abrar Mustafa of PAT submitted the details of PAT’s assets that add up to around Rs 1.4 million including official equipment worth Rs 100,513 and office furniture worth Rs 297,000. Cars in use are worth Rs 869,000 whereas only Rs 27,756 are reserved in the party’s account.
PAT, on the other hand, had request allotment of a new election symbol but ECP rejected the plea stating that the election symbol suggested by PAT has already been taken so they would have to stick to their old symbol of ‘cupboard’.
