Pakistan’s Passport Ranked Among Weakest in Henley Passport Index

The latest Henley Passport Index ranking report for the second half of 2024 places Pakistan near the bottom again.

The Henley Passport Index, issued by Henley & Partners, ranks Singapore’s passport as the most powerful, granting its citizens visa-free access to 195 countries. Other leading passports include those from Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, and France, each allowing entry to 194 countries without a visa.

The report ranks passports from the Netherlands, Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland, Finland, South Korea, and Austria third, noting that their citizens enjoy visa-free access to 193 countries.

The United Kingdom and Belgium share fourth place, with their nationals enjoying access to 192 countries. Switzerland, Portugal, and Norway round out the top five, each allowing visa-free travel to 191 countries.

As per the Henley Passport Index, Pakistan’s passport ranks 104th globally, positioning it as the fourth weakest. Pakistani citizens can travel visa-free to only 34 countries, slightly more than those holding passports from Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, which rank 105th, 106th, and 107th, respectively.
