Pakistani pugilist, Muhammad Waseem, lost a close battle for gold to Australia’s Andrew Moloney in the Commonwealth Games Flyweight 52 Kg category on Saturday and ended up winning a silver medal for the country.
The silver takes Pakistan’s medals tally at the games to four including three silver and one bronze.
Waseem 27, fought well but Moloney got away with the gold medal after a unanimous point decision.
England is leading the Commonwealth Games with 50 gold, 52 silver and 46 bronze while Australia is following with 42 gold, 40 silver and 44 bronze. Canada’s present standing is third with 30 gold, 14 silver and 31 bronz.
