At least seven people including a bride were killed and 20 others injured when roof of marriage hall collapsed on them on late night Wednesday.
According to rescue sources, winters rains caused a wall of a marriage hall located in Shad Bagh, Lahore to fall on the people, result killing at least six people including bride on th spot, whereas Shumaila and 20 others sustained.
The construction of the marriage was completed three days ago.
The bodies and the injured have been shifted Kot Khwaja Saeed Hospital.
Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the crash and ordered an immediate inquiry into the accident. He also offered condolences to the bereaved families.
CM Sharif also directed the hospital administration to ensure the best medical care to the injured.
