Law enforcement agencies on Saturday apprehended key suspects belonging to an outfit extremist militant group.
According to local sources “The terrorists are allegedly the facilitators of Peshawar school massacre mastermind Mangal Bagh”
Mangal Bagh is the leader of militant group Lashkar-e-Islam (LeI), a militant organization operating in Khyber Agency.
A sizeable stash of arms and ammunition was also recovered in the covert action.
Bagh is the successor of Mufti Munir Shakir, a Deobandi cleric who established a pirate radio ministry in Khyber Agency in 2004 after being ejected from Kurram Agency by tribal elders for inciting sectarian hostility.
When Shakir was ejected from Khyber Agency, he turned over his radio station to Bagh, a local driver, and Bagh then formed Lashkar-e-Islam.
According to intelligence sources, now a days he is hiding in the Tirah Valley.
