At least seven persons including women and children died and nine others sustained injuries when lightning struck two houses in Khushab early morning today.
According to the area people, a seven-year-old girl died when lightning struck a house in Purana Chowk area. The debris of the house also damaged the adjacent house, which collapsed killing four children and two women.
The third house was also partially damaged.
The injured persons were shifted to the hospital, where condition of three is said to be critical.
