Workers of various journalist organizations held a protest demonstration outside Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) office against ban on Geo TV yesterday evening.
Large numbers of Karachi based journalists participated in the protest and raised slogans in favor of Geo TV Network.
Addressing the participants, Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) President G. M Jamali demanded restoration of Geo transmission at once. He said they would oppose shutting down any channel or newspaper in Pakistan.
Secretary General PFUJ Khursheed Abbassi called upon the authorities to get Geo transmission restored within two days.
