Karachi: A police officer has been arrested in Tuesday’s wee hours for running a prostitution ring in Karachi area of Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Six women also were rounded up during the crackdown.
Personnel from Ferozabad police station overnight raided a house located in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and busted a prostitution racket. A police official, who is alleged to be patronizing the criminal activities has been captured.
The police official ASI Sadrud Din has been demoted and suspended. Women said Sadrud Din used to patronize them and take monthly protection money from them.
When contacted about the six women arrested during the raid, the police official said he does not know them.
