A petition was filed in the Sindh High Court earlier today seeking court orders to the government for helping the aggrieved families of the beach tragedy in Karachi.
The petition filed by ‘Justice Helpline’ said that around 39 precious lives have been lost in the raging sea due to the failure of the concerned government departments who failed to issue prior warnings.
They also failed to save lives of the drowning people with urgent steps after the incident, the petition added.
The petitioner sought court orders for action against the responsible officials as well as financial assistance to the affected families
