Armed militants kidnapped Judicial Magistrate Ziarat Jam Saka Dashti from Pishin district of Balochistan on Monday, according to police sources.
A senior police officer who requested anonymity told the media that gunmen seized the vehicle of the judicial magistrate in Pishin district.
“The kidnappers freed the driver and security guard of the magistrate near Saranan area of Pishin,” he said. The police officer said the official was picked up by militants close to Ziarat and Pishin cross.
“We have taken the driver and security guard in our custody,” said Deputy Commissioner Pishin, Bashir Bazai.
Police and levies launched a joint search operation in the district to ensure the magistrates recovery. “We have cordoned off all entry and exit points in the district,” Bazai said.
