ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Customs seized 10 smuggled vehicles and other goods valued above Rs113.5 million during intelligence-led Islamabad Customs operations conducted since July 10, the collectorate said Saturday.
The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Islamabad, said most of the vehicles were non-custom-paid. Its statement identified a 2018 Toyota Camry, a 2020 Suzuki Alto, a 2004 Toyota Wish, a 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser, a 1996 Toyota Prado, a 2012 Toyota Prius, a 2004 Toyota Passo and a 2002 Volkswagen among the seizures.
Enforcement teams also confiscated foreign-brand cigarettes, imported tyres, fabric and dried figs, according to the statement.

Senior Customs officials supervised the operations as part of an intensified campaign against smuggling and illegal trade, the collectorate said. It added that intelligence-based enforcement would continue against suspected trafficking networks and customs-law violations.
The Rs113.5 million figure represents the combined estimated value of the vehicles and contraband, according to corroborating reports from ARY News.
