The Rockstar Games website’s recent update has sparked speculation about new GTA 6 content, including screenshots and cover art. Rockstar Games has been tight-lipped since the release of a single trailer depicting GTA 6’s Miami-like setting and introducing Lucia, one of the main characters.
Set for a 2025 release, GTA 6 remains shrouded in mystery, with no fresh information from Rockstar Games. However, the initial trailer, released in December 2023, gave fans a glimpse of its vibrant setting and characters. A user on platform X, @GTAVI_Countdown, recently noticed changes to the Rockstar Games website, according to IGN. These included a new database entry for GTA 6, which featured placeholders for four screenshots, cover art, and a release date. This suggests an impending announcement from Rockstar.
Rockstar removed the database page shortly after the discovery, hinting at an upcoming update. Although removed, the page’s code contained placeholders and mentioned digital purchases, signalling potential future developments.
Insiders speculate that the premature exposure of the GTA 6 page might have been accidental, with Rockstar potentially preparing for an announcement before Take-Two Interactive’s earnings call next week.
Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, will announce its fiscal year 2024 results on May 16. While the call may not directly discuss GTA 6, it could offer clues about a more precise release timeline.
So far, Rockstar has only released one trailer for GTA 6. The upcoming title is confirmed to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. Anticipation is high for further details, which could include a new trailer highlighting the game’s other protagonist and gameplay features.
