Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said on Wednesday that the government is determined to take Dr Imran Farooq murder case to its logical conclusion.
Talking to media here, he said Dr Imran Farooq’s murder case became a ‘blind murder case’, adding it was Pakistani intelligence agencies which provide key clues to the British authorities.
He said whatever information has been shared with the UK government was done under the directives of the prime minister and international obligations.
Khan said that his meeting with British High Commissioner Philip Barton yesterday was prescheduled and it had nothing to do Altaf Hussain.
He said that the government was not taking this case as a ‘political issue’ rather the government was cooperating with the British government under our legal and religious obligations.
Khan said that the British authorities have not asked the Pakistani government to handover anyone until now.
However, he said UK envoy was told categorically that there would no one-way cooperation as far as handing over of wanted criminals is concerned.
